Well, you pegged me...

I don't think I've hit fanboy status with this show just yet. This one I find more fun to watch in group, not like Cowboy Bebop and Ghost In The Shell...and hell, I don't think I'll ever live down my Subaru obsession. (She's just so fragile and sweet!)

I need to read 'Stranger in a Strange Land' at some point. The little I've read of Heinlein, i.e. Starship Troopers, I found to be insanely compelling. He captured the sci-fi aspect, but it was the human aspect of war that he compelled into the novel that had me captivated. The movie was fun from a satirical POV, far from good but really snarky when you realize all that it's making fun of. The book, though, now that was poetry.

Shared experiences intrigue me, though in a different fashion. I was just thinking the other night how my current circle of friends exists largely because of my decision to attend A-Kon five years ago. Everyone I hang out with now for the most part either was at that con or is connected to someone who was at that con. In some ways it was kind of the turning point of my life...I'd been all but a hermit until then.

I do get where you're coming from too, though. When I first met you I was intrigued. I'd never really known a vegetarian before, at least not one as strict as you are. I found myself experimenting, dabbling in foods I'd never eaten before just so I could understand where you were coming from. What surprised me more than my willingness to try was the fact that I liked it.

Anyway, getting a bit too...what's the word I'm looking for here...well, I'm too it anyway. It's freezing in my apartment (stupid $200 electric bill's got me leaving the heat off and relying on blankets) and my bed is calling to me! I'm off to it!
