So many interesting things have occured since my last update including having to get my car out of a tow yard, dogsitting, working on cosplay, end of DnD game and begin plotting of the one I will shortly start running, work, drawing, purchasing of Drakenguard 2, only one more day until I can get Kingdom Hearts 2 (and I can stop threatening people with bodily harm regarding spoilers! Whew~!) and my mom getting a new bed which has involved quite a bit of physical labor on my part (thanks for your help, btw,

But I'm not going to talk about that. Instead I will tell you about the very silly idea I had for a fanart: The Slayers! cast dressed up as the FF7 cast. n_n;;;

Cloud = Gourry (A Dumb Blonde with a Big Sword. Gee, that was easy!)
Aeris = Syphiel (We have the love interest to Gourry angle, but with the added bonus of I don't mind killing her off part-way through the plot. Oh, and the entire healer angle too. >.>;)
Tifa = Lina Inverse (Again love interest, but more importantly she's the female lead who takes names and kicks butt. Plus, Tifa has...wide tracts of land...and thus I think Lina would jump at the chance to cosplay her. Did I mention she kicks butt?) (Possibly Yuffie instead, considering the lightfingered-ness, but I still think Tifa's a better personality match.)
Vincent = Zelgadis (Again, easy. Oh woe is me, I'm cursed! Oh, and that one episode in Try proves he's the only one of the Slayers main cast who can even remotely be considered a sharpshooter.)
Red XIII = I have no idea. (There's a bit of a lack of beast-based characters in Slayers that don't suck. Maybe Dilgear or Jilias?)
Barrett = Prince Phil (Easily the only Slayers cast member BIG and LOUD enough to pull of Barrett. Well, maybe Gaav, but...)
Cid = Um...who in Slayers has an airship? And curses like a sailor? Good question. Ideas anyone?
Yuffie = Martina (Loud, obnoxious, and is playing both sides constantly...plus she has really really bad fashion sense!)
Cait Sith = Amelia? (She'd pull it off through sheer cuteness, if anyone can.)

And side cast:
Reno = Valgaav (Besides that I've turned the Turks into dragons, he's also got the loud, obnoxious camera-hog bit DOWN.)
Rude = Milgasia (Of the dragons, he's definately the strong silent type.)
Elena = Filia (A blonde goody-two-shoes, who can if you catch her at the right moment either kickass or become the designated victim. And putting her in a suit would be amusing.)

Biggs = Rolf (Alas, you poor people that exist merely so we can feel sorry about your deaths...man it sucks to be you.)
Wedge = Rodimous
Jessie = Eris

Sephiroth = Koppi Rezo (I'd feel sorry for him because of his history of being a lab experiment and generally not getting any love except for the entire burning people's hometowns to the ground for fun thing. Eheh.)
Hojo = Rezo (Because of the Sephiroth choice, this one's also pretty clear. Not to mention he is the creepy scientist of the Slayers cast.)i

Heidegger = Demia (The fat guy in the Pledge of immortality arc. For once I had to look up the name rather than knowing it off the top of my head. I should really go back and watch Next again... XD;;)
Palmer = Tarimu (The skinny guy from the same arc. They're pretty interchangeable.)
Tseng = Halcyform (Another person it sucks to be! Yay! <3)
Scarlet = Naga (Do I even need to justify this one? *Shudders at laughter*)
President Shinra = Vrumugun (Eh, who cares if we kill him, they'll be another one soon enough!)
Rufus = Xellos (No one else is enough of an evil bastard, really.)

Jenova = Any of the dark lords, really, but I'm thinking Shabranigdo.

Yes, I am in fact easily amused. XD

I found this vintage Sherlock Holmes IBM PC-DOS based adventure game by Electronic Arts at Half Price Books the other day, so I picked it up. It's complete with everything.

It /so/ screamed out to me, "Buy me for Katie!!".

Well, not really. But I did think you might enjoy seeing it. XD

Oh, and by the way, would you be interested in doing your Quest for Glory group for Scarborough Faire this year?

Hmmm...when ~is~ Scarborough? I've never actally been. I'd like to, but I don't want to commit to ANYTHING else between now and akon.

Also, GAME! Hee. I think I had that once upon a time via a game package deal and never installed it.

I'd have to go with Yuffie for Lina.

Yuffie - Lina
Tifa - Amelia
Cait Sith - one of the fish people

The necessary archetype conversion in Yuffie's case is magical cunning -> rogueish cunning. Then it all works out.

They're both obsessed with their particular specialties and the power it can bring them, similar physical appearance (Lina would love cosplaying Yuffie once she realized that Yuffie is not short), similar personalities that are similarly easy to misinterpret, and similar combat styles (they stay out of melee and hand out ranged DPS).

Tifa is certainly a bit more mature and laid-back, but she shows signs of having that inner fire well stoked. Fisticuffs should be obvious. Tits are always relative to the perversions of the artist, but in this case it works out comfortably since Amelia > Lina and Tifa > Yuffie.

Furthermore Cait Sith and any of the fish people are equally lame, pointless, and annoying. :3

We really need to set up another cooking/Slayers date soon. ^.^ Maybe when I get back from Austin and away from these freaky highways!

Hmmm, why does these things keep happening to your car (how did it happen)? Although KH2 sounds nice, I'll have to wait on it for awhile - not like I'd get to play it anyhow (not like I played the first one either) - so have fun with it and no spoilers please ^^. Slayers meet FF7 - priceless :D.

Well, actually I've seen the first ep of Slayers Next, but THAT DOESN'T COUNT.

Have fun with KH2. I've no intention of playing it myself after seeing screenshots of Seifer's new posse (which, for some reason, includes Vivi; plus I didn't really like KH to begin with), but it really does look awesome. ^_^

Aw. T_T But...I'm a scary scary Slayers fangirl! I can quote Slayers almost as well as I can QfG! I actually knew off the top of my head all but 3 of the character names from up there without having to look any of 'em up...I'm almost OBLIGATED to at least get out the chlorophorm when you get back to the US for use in kidnaping! Darn you and your living on the far side of nowhere-unreachable. >;P

And I know what you mean...I have mixed feelings about some stuff I've heard about KH2, but...I really liked the first one despite everything, and I really HAVE been threatening bodily harm on certain people who ordered the japanese version and have already beaten it. X.x

No problem with the help. I thoroughly enjoyed the evening and I'm looking forward to the desk moving party. KH2 should have come out today, so I can I start spoiling the little bit that I slept through at Kirsy's during the mush meet? Just kidding, I know next to nothing about either game, which is kind of sad cause I've seen the ending to the first one and actually watched you beat the snot out of Sephiroth. As for everybody commenting on your Slayers nuttiness, it's genuine, I've seen it. Oh, and keep Lina as Tifa. I'm not exactly sure it's a good "personality" match, per se, but it fits the triangle, especially if you keep Sylphiel as Aerith. Oh, and Amelia in a Cait Sith outfit would be awesome!
