I'm almost done with painting of room ("all" that is left is the trim...that should only take all week. x.x) So now...I'm considering various cosplay projects...

Saygram:
- I'd like to do something about the hood...line it and put velcro at the top, something...that will keep it from flying off all the time. With the mask on I purely can't tell when it's up or not. And the costume really doesn't work without the hood up. T_T
- Re-make the gloves, since they were kinda destroyed over akon. Easy enough to do, if I can just get someone to sew on the bandages on my off hand.

Yuan:
- Make the cape. I suspect I can probably do this myself, but all my supplies are in Asmaria's sewing room. Also, I've never actually made a cape. This will be an adventure!
- Get new glove to make fingerless, then attach the backs so it's not held on with tape the entire con.
- Boot covers. Asmaria, I will flat out just need your help with that..there's no way I can do it on my own. Sorry.
- Wig: trim the ponytail so it's about 3 inches shorter. Thanks to the single picture in the back I have of it, I realize it's too long.

Also, I might do this version of her custume instead. Same hair and earings, different everthing else. Hmmm...

I know you don't like contacts, at ALL, but if you're going to cosplay freaking Caprice, then you gotta suck it up. I'll be glad to help you with sticking objects on your eyeball.

Further, we can make some tape recordings of roomfuls of people reciting epic-sounding general purpose statements, get Tetsu to put it in Reason, do some backwards and forwards echoing...

For that matter, a whole cosplay group of Martians wouldn't be that much harder... Hmm...

Er. I was thinking photoshop. Not only would that..like...double the expected cost of the costume, but...that's not just putting something on my eye, that's covering MY ENTIRE EYE. If I can't take soft just covering the iris, sclera contacts are completely out of the picture. And "help" would probably make it worse, although I've not had someone ELSE put contacts on me. I can do it (though I hate it) but wearing 'em for any length of time gets to me. That's a big reason I gave up on contacts and wear glasses.

Voicetrack would be AWSOME, and if I were doing a skit with it, (which I will only do if I have at LEAST one other person with me...which is your preference, Prester or Haas or another Marsian?) then I'd totaly do that part of it at least, since the eyes thing wouldn't be visible from stage anyway.

Hmm. Well, she does wear sunglasses a couple of times. So if you did the Too bad there's no way you can try the contacts without buying them...

I would probably just put together an anonymous Martian. Base the costume on the suits worn by their extraplanetary explorers, but more cloaky. *thinks about fiberoptics*

...You know, I'm awful pushy about contacts for someone who has never ever tried them. Perhaps I'll get me to an optometrist before I tell anyone else to do anything.

I don't think there's anything we agreed to, but the director of Ronin Warriors will be there, and

leochan is organizing a group. Did you still want to be the Ancient? I still have my Shuu(Kento) costume. :) She's going to be Touma(Rowen) and we may have a Shin(Cye).

Ooh. That'd be COOL. But. Um. I don't know, Mia/Nasti is a really easy costume...I could even have my own hair. >.> So...um. How difficult would Ancient be? n_n;;;

I would love it if you cosplayed Mia, because no one ever does. But the Ancient... I'd need to get a good pic of him (find my artbook) to know for sure, but since I've been sewing traditional Japanese clothes lately I don't think it'd be too hard. I'm even teaching Nick how to make the kimono top for Kenshin.

Well...hm. Tough choice. Perhaps I'll base it on how much time I'll have to do it once I have Caprice done. n_n;

Also, what's the name of the girl who gets Ancient garb? It wouldn't even be crossplay then!

You could try attaching the mask to the hood. That way you'll know if it's askew, plus it might stay in place more easily.

I'm thinking if I line it, then put velco at the top of the mask, and on the inside of the hood, then it should stay. Maybe. >.>;
