As some may know, I read fanfiction to amuse myself. Sometimes for the absolutely abyssmal ones, sometimes for the oh-so-rare gem of a decent IC fic. Today, however, my mind is broken.

Fanfiction.net has lots of stories, poems and the like on it, for so many different fandoms I don't care to think of. But this takes the cake. Thirteen submisions under Solitaire?!?! And if that weren't bad enough, there are SEVENTY-FIVE entries under Pong.

That's not a lot, in the scheme of things. But I am unbearibly saddened that there are more fan efforts for PONG than there are for Quest for Glory on that site. Sure, most of the stuff posted there is trash, but it's a presence! It lets you know that there is a fanbase out there. There is something horribly wrong in this world.

You need a new hobby, yes.

I'd rather have one golden fanfic (Chaos trilogy, anyone?) than a million shitty ones.

What I need is a better source. I may have found litterally hundreds of really bad fics (I no longer hanve to read them to figure this out, I've gotten bettere at it since my days of trying to read every Slayers fanfic in existance!) but I've also found a grand total of THREE Yuan fics that are GOOD. That makes it somewhat worth while, in my mind.

well then... its obviously time for us to write the EPPIC QfG fan fiction. we must start collecting puns and pop culture references.

step one: write QfG fan fiction
step two:
step three: Rule Fanfiction.net

I could unearth my terminally unfinished qfG fic I wrote way back when I was on the Sierra boards. But...that would require actually posting it. And ruling fanfiction.net is like being king of a mountain in a junkyard. There's little point. n_n;

On the other hand, I would dearly love to play qfg again. I'd have to wait until I got my stuff out of storage and aquire a suitable pc to play it on first, tho.

And when you play QfG you could call it research!

We could get together at IHOP and figure out plot lines/puns together. We could make it a chose your own adventure so we could have humorous deaths as well. Then even if the story sucks we get points for novelty.

Quality over quantity, says I!

If you need some good fanfic to read, I'd recommend Cowboy Bebop fanfic by Agent Orange, which can be found at BBT's site. BBT's artwork is definitely worth checking out as well.

And all Bebop fans must read this gem as well.
