life is just a dream...

rubyredroseSo I've been having insomnia and otherwise @#$%! sleep cycle for a couple of weeks now...I really haven't been able to remember ANY of my dreams for a while. But today was my day off...so I could sleep until one in the afternoon. Almost two, actually. And did. And I remember my dream. It was...well. I'll tell you about it.
Life, is a game. I don't mean a stupid sport like the commercial. I mean like a video game. With inventory 'n stuff. In this game, there are players...people who know it is a game, and try to win. Kind of a hacker/mage the ascension type thing. Rather neat, must think more on that concept...
...but I digress. The stars of this dream are both players..a guy named Jeff, and a girl who's name I can't remember. There was some sort of 28 days thing going on with people who had been tainted and had to be avoided because of the danger they represented. So the two had barricaded themselves in a house they were now exploring. Wandering room to room, talking about pre-28 days style disaster, whatever it was. About pranks involving the electrical grid in an office building, tiny fireballs...I can't remember much detail.
There is one part I remember clearly, tho. The guy said "..and I knew these guys, really great people, players all of them...I wonder what happened to them.." and looks out a huge bay window at the tainted/zombie people on the other side. Then, he realizes that the bay window is inside the house, and he's just looking at another room, just around the corner. The girl realizes this too, and prepares a spell of some kind to fight. The guy doesn't. He grabs her hand (disrupting spell casting, how rude!) and takes off running, "Don't fight, just RUN!" He turns the corner to be face to face with the tainted. It was time to fight or...
And then my dog started barking at something or other and I woke up. Still. The world seemed interesting ..I think it has potential, maybe as a plot for a mage the ascension game? Hmmm...
